Meet Chris & Justin Troyer
In 2003 Chris Troyer backed into the truss manufacturing business after cutting his teeth on carpentry, framing, and general construction for the first 40 years of his life. He began with an old C-clamp type press and a pedestal jig system that was assembled right there in his shop.
Longhorn Truss has been designing and building roof and floor truss systems that have been used on buildings in 18 states.
Chris gained a great reputation with building professionals in central Texas and beyond, by focusing on customer service and always doing the right thing. His business steadily grew and by 2019 he decided to use his vast experience with the existing pedestal jig system to invent a better design.
Chris partnered with Justin Troyer, a friend who can envision and build almost anything as long as it involves a piece of steel and a welder.
Justin began working with his dad in the family welding shop at a very young age. By the age of 16 he had his first job working as a fabricator where he continued learning about the structural use of metal and steel. At the age of 25 he opened his own shop in Central Texas, and soon teamed up with Chris to build custom equipment for Longhorn Truss.
Together they have developed and built the first Trustance Pedestal Jig System, which is currently being used to build roof trusses in the Longhorn Truss plant.
Together they bring years of experience in the wood component industry to the table, as well as a firm commitment to innovation and exceptional quality. You can expect to be treated fairly and served well if you choose to do business with the Trustance team.
